Banner of PREP Quarterly Newsletter - October

In this new edition of our quarterly newsletter, we are excited to introduce some of the latest features of PREP that will enhance your document remediation processes. We will discuss our innovative GPT API, which can automatically generate alt text for any type of image, and guide you through our easy and seamless process for submitting remediation requests. Additionally, we’ll share details about an upcoming event where we can connect and collaborate. Let’s get started!

I. Latest Features

1. Generate Automated Alt Text within PREP

Introducing Continual Engine’s proprietary ‘GPT API Feature’, integrated directly into PREP – PDF and Document Remediation Platform. This API helps to automatically generate precise alt text descriptions for all types of images, regardless of the image type—whether it’s a simple or complex image, a generic visual, or a detailed STEM diagram, chart, graph, and more. The API also supports multilingual capabilities by translating the generated alt text into multiple languages.

PREP streamlines the entire process, offering customized quotes and delivery dates for bulk remediation projects while providing instant quotes for smaller documents under 50 pages. Clients can securely submit requests for accessible PDFs, images, videos, and more through seamless integration with their systems. Our team ensures full compliance with accessibility standards such as Section 508, WCAG 2.0, PDF/UA, and ADA, making your documents fully accessible for users of assistive technologies.

III. Client Testimonials

“We, at the Office of Disability Resources at UMW have been excited to start using PREP as our main PDF remediation tool. We have been using it for a few months and have been able to make our PDF workflow more manageable. PREP has saved us both time and money by allowing us to edit the PDF in an easy and robust way. I would say it cuts down our PDF remediation process in half due to simplistic features all in the platform. It has also saved us money because we have not had to the need to send complicated PDFs out to other vendors. We really enjoy the collaboration feature that allows us to assign parts to different users. We also love the ability to be able to edit the output to screen reader users since this is the issue we had struggled with in the past. PREP has done a great job at incorporating the initial tools to be able to automate part of the process. This has helped cut down time immensely and be able to meet the needs of our students quickly.”
